What does pro-active all wheel drive mean?
On this Web site, pro-active all wheel drive means that the differentials (clutches, etc.) can be locked by the ECU before a wheelspin actually occurs. The need of all wheel drive is determined in real-time, based on the information that is collected from different sensors (i.e. g-force sensor, accelerator pedal position, steering wheel positon sensor, etc.).
